Your information, in context. This notice explains what happens when you read a guide, contact JARVEE, or follow a link from this website. You can read the site without creating an account.

Who this notice covers

JARVEE is responsible for this website, presented as JARVEE YouTube Studio at www.youtube.jarvee.com. In this notice, “we” and “our” refer to JARVEE in its operation of this site. For a privacy question or request, use our contact page and include “Privacy request” in the subject. You can also email jarveecomcontact@jarvee.freshdesk.com, the same support channel used by the form.

This notice concerns the editorial website and its contact service. It does not describe the operation of SMTasker software, a YouTube account, or another website you choose to visit. Those services provide their own privacy information.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. We use that information to understand and answer your request, investigate a site issue, and keep the relevant correspondence together. Name and email are required by the form; without a reply address we cannot respond by email.

Messages are delivered through our email and Freshdesk support setup. Do not include passwords, recovery codes, payment-card details or sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your question. Sending a message does not subscribe you to a marketing list. The site does not offer public account registration or take subscription payments.

Technical and security information

Our hosting and security systems process information associated with requests to the site, such as an IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and security events. We use this information to deliver pages, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and protect the site. Administrators have access to the information needed to manage these services.

WPX provides hosting and caching. Wordfence provides security protection, and Akismet is installed for spam protection where applicable. Public comments are currently closed. These services may process technical information to operate their features; their handling of information is also described in the Wordfence privacy notice and Automattic privacy policy.

Cookies and third-party requests

WordPress and the site’s hosting and security services may use cookies needed for security, authentication or correct operation. Administrative login cookies apply when an authorized administrator signs in; reading an article does not require a WordPress account. You can inspect or clear cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies can prevent protected features from working.

The contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish legitimate messages from automated abuse. Loading and using that protection involves requests to Google and may involve cookies, device and browser information, an IP address and interaction signals. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service explain its services. reCAPTCHA is loaded on the contact page, rather than across the editorial pages.

The current editorial site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or a newsletter signup. Links to SMTasker can include campaign parameters identifying this site and the position of the link; those parameters are not populated with your contact-form information. The destination website can process information under its own policies after you follow a link.

If a page includes a third-party video or other embedded service, using that service may disclose technical information to its provider. Read the provider’s notice before interacting. Any future optional analytics or marketing technology will need appropriate privacy information and choices before it is introduced.

Why information is used

We use information to respond to messages, maintain and secure the website, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, routine correspondence and site security rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and operating a safe website, subject to your rights. A request about entering a contract may also involve steps you ask us to take before that contract. Processing required by law relies on that obligation. Where consent is required for a particular use, that use must be subject to an appropriate choice.

Contact-form information is not sold, used to build advertising profiles, or used for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who receives information

Access is limited to the JARVEE team handling the site or your request and providers needed for hosting, security, email and support. Relevant providers include WPX, Freshdesk, Google reCAPTCHA and the security or antispam services described above. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect legal rights.

Service providers can process information in countries other than yours. The applicable provider arrangements and data-protection requirements govern those transfers. Contact us if you need information about the arrangements relevant to your request. Following an external link does not give that website access to your support correspondence.

How long information is kept

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to address the enquiry, handle relevant follow-up and maintain necessary business or legal records. Security and hosting records follow the retention settings and purposes of the relevant service. An incident, legal obligation or dispute can require particular records to be kept longer. Backup copies may remain until the applicable backup cycle replaces them.

You can ask what information remains in relation to your request and ask for its deletion. We assess that request against any continuing need or legal requirement to retain particular records; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup or provider system.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access or correct personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive portable data where that right applies. Where a use is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact us through the details above. Describe the request and provide enough information to locate the relevant correspondence. We may need to verify your identity without collecting more information than necessary. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the authority in your EU or UK jurisdiction where applicable.

Updates and questions

We update this notice when the site’s relevant practices change and show the revision date on this page. For questions about the notice, data handling or a previous message, contact JARVEE. Our Terms of Service explain use of the website.
